OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — An Oklahoma County judge has decided to make State Farm hand over documents that policyholders’ attorneys claim prove the insurance company ran a billion-dollar scheme to deny wind and hail claims.
The plaintiff, Billy Hursh, alleges that State Farm underpaid on his claim and led him to pay over $20,000 out of his own pocket to repair his roof.
State Attorney General Gentner Drummond tried to intervene in the Hursh case, but the Oklahoma Supreme Court denied his efforts.
“They’re most certainly not being the good neighbor,” said Hursh’s attorney, Reggie Whitten.
